“God’s Garden,” as it is affectionately referred to, is private property owned by Mary Ann and Jim Wilsbacher. The garden abuts to the walkway on Water Street and is open to the public for contemplation and inspiration.
Previously just a patch of grass that overlooks the Ohio river, the Wilsbachers planted a gorgeous garden with a brick walkway, gazebo, small waterfall and flowers galore. They keep it open year round, day and night, for anyone to come in, relax and contemplate life and God’s love.
A sign near the garden reads, “The kiss of the sun for pardon, the song of birds for mirth, you are nearer God’s heart in a garden than anywhere else on earth.”
