About Preservation Hall
Our museum is located in Newburgh’s well-known “Preservation Hall.” The hall boasts a lovely banquet facility on the second floor available for reservations through the Town of Newburgh (812-853-1720) for wonderful gatherings such as receptions and events. On the first floor of the hall is the home of the Newburgh Museum. This building was built as Newburgh’s Presbyterian Church and later served as Newburgh’s Town Hall. The museum opened here in July of 2012. Well-known to all Newburgh citizens, the community’s icon building is at the corner of State and Main Street standing tall and proud and adorned by its recognizable bell tower.
