Sign 2:  Grim Reaper’s Newburgh Club House – 1977

The Grim Reapers Motorcycle Club was founded in Louisville in 1965 and formed a Warrick County chapter in the mid-1970s.  Their clubhouse (the last building on the left in this photograph taken from the corner of State Street and Water Street) was a source of concern to local businesses and to the public at large, and after a raid led by the Warrick County Sheriff in1981, they moved their clubhouse to Evansville.
